He taught at the CST Puruwala for four years and got elected as the Vice-President of Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) in 1995 and in 1998. He was editor of the Rangzen magazine (Tibetan language) of TYC and took part in the 26-day fast-unto-death protest in front of the UN office, Geneva during the UN Human Rights Commission meeting in 1999. He attended many national and international conferences representing TYC.
He was elected to the 13th, 14th and 15thTPiE from Utsang Cholkha and had been the Editor-in-Chief of the Voice of Tibet radio news service for some time.
After his unsuccessful election for the 16thTPiE, he was nominated in the 15thKashag as Kalon and was elected by the parliament.
He holds Department of Finance as his portfolio in the Kashag. Though he isn’t from the background of Finance, yet as a Parliament member he knows the rules and regulations and is said to have worked in number of committees relating to finance.
In the March session he read the budget and answered most of the questions efficiently. Looking into this process we can make out that his job is to prepare the Budget of CTA. Other than that Kador, the right hand of LS is said to have control over the overall PURSE of CTA in the name of SARD. He has the full support and backing from LS to do whatever he wants to do as the boss of SARD.
As Paljor Kalon, he often visits Ari to increase the green book contributors and to solve the problems of those whose names have changed due to unavoidable situation.
