MP Tashi Dhondup was born in 1972 at Mustang, Nepal has a diploma in Hotel Management.
He worked in Hotel Mount Annapurna, Pokhara, Hotel Tibet International, Kathmandu as Deputy General Manager from 2000-2002 and got promoted to General Manager within a year.
He worked as an Executive member of Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Jampaling, Pokhara from 1998-2000 and later worked at Hotel Gangjong and Hotel Manang as an Executive Manager for seven years.
He is an executive member of Central Dhomey Association, Dharamshala and the Vice President of Regional Dhomey Association, Nepal and was appointed as an administrator of Tsering Elders Home, Kathmandu by Department of Home,CTA.
He was elected to the 15th and 16th TPiE from Dhomey cholkha. As a Parliamentarian, pertaining to the solidarity and unity for the just cause of Tibet, he was bold enough to question the decision of Kashag on the question of 1.5 million dollar to the office of Tibet, Washington DC, which has led to the protest to Lobsang Sangay lead Kashag wherever he visited in the history of CTA.
As a mark of appreciation for his sincere work, the inmates of Tsering Elderly Home have appealed to Department of Home to re-appoint him as the administrator. Despite having elected as a member with the approval from Election Commissioner and appointed by Department of Home, his appointment as administrator of Tsering Elderly Home was questioned and dragged in the house for which Department of Home succumbed.
