A brief critique on MP Karma Gelek

Mr. Karma Gelek was born in 1962 in Gangtok, Sikkim and went to CST Mussoorie for his schooling. He served in Special Frontier Force (SFF) for 12 years and had opportunity to serve at private security of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for 3 years.

He served as the Chairman of Local Tibetan Assembly, Bhandara Tibetan settlement for 12 years during his 18 years of service. He was the executive member of the Central Dhomay Association for three terms. He was also the President of All India Tibetan Refugee Trader’s Association.

He is a first timer in the 16th TPiE elected from Dhomey Cholkha. During the 6th session, he was vocal on 1.5 million dollars from Tibet Fund on buying of the office of Washington, DC and took his stand on mass protest by people to Kashag.

His loyalty to his cholkha is obvious from the responsibilities he had taken in Dhomey Association.
