Kashag’s clarification Point 8 contradicts raw evidence

I appreciate the fact that Kashag finally felt the pressure to issue a clarification on the decision to replace North America representative Penpa Tsering. This is called people power!

I am not going to go into the details because the ball is now in Penpa Tsering’s court. And I am sure he will do full justice to it at the soonest possible. This, however, does not mean we will call off the protest in Dharamshala on 27 November 2017. Here is why:

What does this document reveal? It clearly states $1.5 million is a loan from Tibet Fund to the office of Tibet to purchase the building. Nowhere does this document state that the said amount is a contribution from Tibet Fund to the Office of Tibet. It also mentions 1% interest rate. This nails the lie Kashag manufactured in point number 8 of his clarification list.

Who is the female Kalon nominee? Name her. “He says, she says” won’t do.

What disparaging remarks did Penpa Tsering specifically make about Sikyong? What evidence do you have? Any tape? Any recording?

When the media asked Kashag as to when the decision to appoint Kalon Ngodup Tsering to the post of representative was made, the cabinet secretary Topgyal Tsering replied the Kashag decided on 6 November 2017. He did the press release on 7 November 2017. But on 6 November 2017 two Kalons, Sonam Topgyal and Phagpa Tsering, were out of town. This is a critical piece of information.

According to Charter Article 1 (iii), that decision pertaining the appointment of representatives must be made in the presence of all the Kalons. That did not happen.

This is a severe violation. And Sikyong must issue another clarification soon.

Also, why was Kaydor Aukatsang not terminated? Kaydor had many issues far more serious than PTs:

  1. Dalai Lama photo replaced by Sikyong photo.
  2. Shugden demonstrators came so close they could have easily hurt the Dalai Lama.
  3. Kalachakra controversy.
  4. Sikyong voting, misusing public office as election platform.
  5. US 1.5 million dollars

It is evident that Sikyong has two different standards for two different people — Penpa Tsering the arch-rival, and Kaydor, his best friend.
